PUPPY TRAINING

We are behavioral specialist & teach the basics. Which means we will teach you what your puppy’s body language means & what they are trying to communicate. We will show you how to communicate in a gentle and patient way. We teach you how to have a mutually respectful and beneficial relationship.

In our puppy training, we will teach them how:

  • How to walk nicely on the leash.
  • Basic commands.
  • How to address puppy biting.
  • Barking.
  • Potty training.
  • Crate Training.
  • Nutrition.
  • Different ways to motivate that are positive and effective. (So you’re not treat dependant)
  • Recognize and address any aggression.
  • The importance of socialization.
  • Learn dog psychology.
  • Structured games.
  • Impulse control.

The puppy package includes 3 inhome sessions of training, usually about a week apart and training sessions are 1-2.5 hrs long. We will teach you everything you and your puppy need to have a long lasting and healthy relationship. We spend time teaching you how to get results by working hands on. We will provide reading material and tools to help with your dog’s training. We know teaching you how to train and maintain your relationship is what is most important. So we will make sure you feel confident in what you’re doing after training.

We offer FREE weekly group classes to all clients. You can come to them for the remainder of your puppy’s life. This way your dog can continue to progress. It’s also a great place for me to help you with any questions or follow-up you may need. I am truly invested in your success and allow unlimited phone support even after training.

All my sessions are structured around you and your puppy for maximum results. I will provide you with the tools, information, documents, and knowledge to be able to solve any problem.

Puppy Packages:

1 sessions: $110
3 sessions: $275
5 session: $465

Puppy Board and Train. $885

We have an option for clients do don’t want to do all the training them self. With the puppy board and train, your dog must be 5 months old or younger to qualify. Your puppy will stay for a total of 7 days, and in that time they will learn:

  • How to walk nicely.
  • Sit, Stay, Come, and shake if asked.
  • Crate training.
  • Potty training.
  • Place.
  • Recall
  • Anything else you might be struggling with.

Once your puppy comes home we will provide you with a customized plan to maintain training. You will get a total of 3 follow up sessions after training. The first one will take place when you pick up your puppy to show you everything they have learned. Please know we do not accept all puppies for this program, so we do require a phone interview or evaluation prior to dropping them off.

Puppy Off-Leash Reliability. +$200

This is an add-on for the Board and Train program listed above. If you would like your puppy to come home off leash reliable. It will be an additional $200 to cover the price of the E-collar. We ONLY use the e-collar on the lowest levels and use the highest quality e-collar (Mini Educator ET-300). The technology is very similar to a 10’s unit used for muscle relaxation. We do not use e-collars to induce pain, but strictly to get there attention. It feels like someone is tapping you from a distance. This is the fast and only 100% guaranteed way to have your dog completely off leash reliable. It can also be a life-saving tool if your dog sees a Moose, Coyote, or tries to run across a busy street. The e-collar has 100 levels, most dogs are typically on a level 2-3 and we use the vibrate function as well.

How to prepare for in-home training. Please do not exercise your dog that day other than a light morning walk if we have a later session. We only do training Monday-Friday, so keep that in mind when scheduling. When we arrive at your home your dog must be on a STURDY leash or preferably in the crate. This is for our safety, even if you have a small fluffy puppy we bring in some very valuable equipment. Like a laptop, we don’t want to drop by accident. The first hour will be spent going over paperwork and the training program. We find the session will go much smoother if they are in the crate during that time, so their energy is spent on the actual training.

Travel Fee: $5 and up. Travel is included if you live or wish to train within 15 miles of me (use Provo, Fort Utah Park as a reference to estimate). Unfortunately, due to high travel costs, I’ve had to add a travel fee of $5 for sessions 16-20 miles away. Add an additional $5 per session for each 5 mile increment after that. If you’d like to reduce or eliminate this fee, you are welcome to come to me or meet me at a local park.
